Rebrand for The Vines, a Kier Living site

Having worked with Kier Living on "Durleigh Gardens" we were then given the opportunity to work on another project called The Vines. Although the brand had already been designed by another company, as we did such a good job on the Durleigh Gardens project we were given The Vines to work our Creative Magic on.

It is always difficult sometimes to work with another designers brand. So I had to think carefully about the chosen colour ways and how best to utilise the logo designed to create an attractive brochure and subsequent signage.

The Vines is a new development for which Kier Living required everything from signage design to designing their customer-facing brochures.

I started by researching the area where the housing development was situated. I also was given information on the age demographic that it was to be pitched and advertised to. From this, I decided that the countryside would be the main focus and advertise the work-life balance.

I then produced an initial design for the brochure for Kier Living to look at. We then discussed the best images to use within the brochure to best showcase the environment.

Although I did not design the brand I had control over what colours to use, using classic dark blues to evoke a traditional and timeless quality. Other colour ways included a muted green to represent wildlife /countryside represent new beginnings and future aspirations. Using a serif font for the call to action text, created a timeless, classic brand which reinforces the quality of Kier Living.

The initial design was received extremely positive feedback.

Managing this project from beginning to end, producing the signage and communication literature, gave us a unique opportunity to show Kier Living our capabilities. So much so that from designing this brochure, we were given older projects (where brochures were already designed) to give them a refresh and redesign, which is a great compliment for the studio!
