Vehicle Graphics & Chevron Kits for DSD Mobile Tyres

THE BRIEF

DSD Mobile Tyres got in touch with Creative Solutions looking for some new vehicle graphics and a high-visibility chevron kit for their company Volkswagen Crafer van.

For a Dorset-based company, that spends a good deal of their time in transit providing roadside assistance, high quality vehicle graphics can be a huge advantage. While the van is on the move, or parked in layby fitting a tyre, the company vehicle is fully visible to the public. For advertising  your brand, then, to a large scale audience, it makes perfect sense to get the best vehicle graphics available. That’s where we come in!

DSD wanted the graphics to be consistent with those we’d provided for other vehicles in their fleet. That meant using their classic black ‘tyre’ font for the logo on the bonnet, side panels and back doors, while using simple blue fonts for the additional text. DSD also wanted to include a large high-definition tyre graphic that would feature at the back of both side panels. The primary focus was to supply clear and consistent branding for the client—the aesthetics of the van needed to harmonize perfectly with their Toyota HiLux truck.

Chevron kits are a must-have feature for any vehicle that operates on the roadside or in traffic-heavy environments. For DSD, when assisting customers in potentially hazardous situations, it’s imperative that other road users can see the vehicle instantly, in order for them to adjust their speed or pass safely. The chevron kit provides a high-visibility panel on the backdoors of the Volkswagen van to reduce the risk of accident while DSD carry out their work.

THE SOLUTION

The client supplied us with the same ‘tyre’ font logo found across all of DSD’s company branding—including the Toyota HiLux truck we’d worked on in a previous job. This graphic was recreated in the studio by the Creative Solutions design team and made ready for application. 

The full-colour printed vinyl logo, finished with a gloss laminate, was applied to the bonnet, side doors and rear of the vehicle—while the large printed tyre graphics was adhered to the rear side panels. We also provided the additional ocean blue cut vinyl text, featuring all the business information and relevant contact details, which was also finished with a stunning gloss. Each individual artwork element was supplied, laid out and set-up by Creative Solutions.

Following the client’s brief, we were also able to supply and install the chevron kit for the rear of the Volkswagen. For unbeatable visibility, this came in micro-prismatic ULX red and Hi-S Cal fluorescent yellow. This was a segmented kit, which meant the panels were alternating red and yellow. Looking at the images, you can see that the vehicle graphics and chevron kit are of the highest quality and undoubtedly offer a stunning visual aesthetic and the necessary safety features. DSD were delighted with the results.
