The cost-effective, long-term solution for external post-mounted signage. These post-mounted signs are made from 3mm Aluminium Composite (ACM). The signs can be cut to any bespoke shape or size and are post-mounted. Post Mounted Signs can be larger than single sheets, as the signs can be joined (Subject to Wind Loading, planning and location) and at Creative Solutions we are more than happy to supply and install any type of post-mounted sign.
We have prepared a standard product here where the sign is mounted on the front of the posts. There are custom options where the signs can be mounted on the inside of round or square posts. Aluminium Composite Sign
Aluminium Composite Material, more commonly known as ACM is a sheet material that is 3mm thick. ACM consists of two thin skins of aluminium 0.21, 0.3 or 0.5mm thick (depending on the use) bonded on either side of a lightweight polyethylene core.
This creates a substrate that is perfect for external post signs because it is lightweight and rigid. The face of the ACM is smooth and perfectly flat, making it ideal for direct printing and printed vinyl application. Both options readily accept laminate to protect the print.
The dimensional stability of ACM along with the limited expansion under harsh temperature variations, makes this ideal for outdoor signage.
Our in-house CNC router can cut the ACM panels to any shape and size up to 2 x 3m. We manufacture all the print and ACM panels in-house so have complete control over the production process in making the signs. All sign panels can be customised to your requirements.
The result of an ACM sign is a completely waterproof, UV-resistant sign with high durability, perfect for post mounting.
Sign Rails
The sign rails are the fixings that attach the sign to the posts. These work horizontally to the posts and are riveted or bonded to the back of the ACM sign panel. We then use and provide the relevant clip fittings required to attach the sign to the posts. These fixings vary depending on which post option is selected. Please see below for further details.
Post Types and Sizes
There are a variety of posts available, the main differences are square posts or round posts, post length, post colour, and post diameter. The posts that are used will depend on where the post-mounted sign is located, the size of the sign, and what ground the posts are being mounted in or on to. We have listed the main post differences below:
Our posts are made from 3mm wall aluminium.
Post Shape
The most common post shapes are Round or Square. Other post shapes are available but are custom-made so would need a bespoke option.
Post Diameter
There are standard post diameters, 50mm, 76mm, 89mm and 114mm in both square and round post profile. The diameter and number of the posts will be determined by the size of the sign and the sign's location. This will be determined during the quoting process and our team will advise you with their knowledge and experience.
Post Length
The length of the posts will again be determined by the size of the sign and the distance the sign needs to be off the ground. Standard post lengths are between 2m and 3m, but we supply posts up to 6m in one length. Posts can be joined to make them longer but may require additional bracing structures depending on the use. Our team will be more than happy to guide you through this process.
Post Colour
Standard Post colours are white or grey-painted posts. We can powder-coat the posts to any RAL colour.
Post Fixings and Extras
Fixings are available for all our posts and will depend on how many posts you have and the size of the sign. We supply clips that will match the post diameter you select. as standard. These come complete with all fixings to attach the sign.
We also supply post caps to seal the top of the post from weather, along with base plates that go in the ground to stop subsidence from the signposts cutting into soft grounds.
How big can you have your ACM Post Sign?
The largest single-sheet sign we can produce in ACM is 2050 x 3050mm but you can go bigger. We can seamlessly join as many sheets together as you need. With our top-of-the-range printers and rip software, we can produce seamless prints for your signage from panel to panel. We base the cost of our signage on surface area so that you can easily give yourself an idea of how much your sign will cost, whatever the shape. Can you install my sign?
We are more than happy to install your post-mounted sign as part of our service. For an additional cost, we can travel anywhere in the United Kingdom. We're based in the South West and discuss installation dates and travel requirements with you during quotation.
How can I order a custom sign?
- Using the drop-down menus above, select the product options that suit you best. Ensure you have the right size product using the options above.
- Once you've sorted all of your options, go through the checkout process and order your product.
- If you have your own image you want to use, now is the time to send it across. In the basket, you'll be asked if you want to upload any images, at this point you can send your image to our graphic design team. We'll then check the image is a high enough resolution, and send you a digital proof within 2-3 days for you to check you're happy with it.
- If you don't have the artwork and want to work with our graphic design team, either we'll contact you using the details on the order, or you can speak to the team as soon as you're ready by either uploading it using the 'artwork upload tab', emailing sales@creativesolutions.co.uk or calling 01297 630130. If you provide our designers with a brief, we can give you an estimate on costs and get straight to work once approved. Design time is chargeable at £60.00p/h, but we only charge in 15-minute intervals so you get maximum value.
- Once you've confirmed you're happy with how it's going to look, we'll send it straight down to our production team and on to the printers.
- As soon as your product is ready, we'll send it out direct to your door via courier delivery.
- Alternatively, we're more than happy to install your product on-site for you. For an additional charge, our installation team will meet you on-site at an agreed time and date and professionally fit your printed product for a perfect finish.
Product Lead Time – Please be advised the lead time detailed above is the current working standard for this product. Your despatch and delivery dates will be detailed in your order confirmation sent via email from our Sales Team once your order has been received. For any product requiring artwork completion, the lead time starts from the next business day after you have approved and signed off your digital artwork proof. If we cannot fulfil your order within the detailed lead time, you will be contacted immediately about your order.
