Creative Solutions can provide printed anti-slip floor stickers for social distancing at schools to help with the current Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. We have pre-designed some floor vinyls in bright colours to attract the attention of younger people. They can also be customised to your exact design requirements.
Perfectly suited for indoor or outdoor use within the school or college, our floor stickers are good for 6 months of use minimum. Our durable floor graphics are suitable for most types of hard floor and short pile carpet, such as office floors, carpet, wood, tile and concrete or tarmacked surfaces.
Common uses of floor stickers include directional signs and social distancing measures currently in place. The floor sticker graphics are anti-scuff, meaning they can be walked on as a normal floor.
We are providing a range of floor graphics, the details on these products are below so that you can make an informed decision for which type of anti-slip floor sticker you need for your situation.
We offer various un-laminated versions of the anti-slip stickers for schools that are perfect for smooth floors and short term applications. We also have higher specified floor stickers that can be used in environments where slipping may be an issue due to wet or angled surfaces.
These have a more textured sticker surface and the adhesive used needs to be acrylic so as not to be affected by water when the floor graphic is applied to the floor.
What does the Anti-Slip 'R' Value Mean?
So what does R10, R12, and R9 anti-slip rating mean and how does it affect a printed floor sticker or floor graphic?
The R ratings are a way of grading the slip resistance for all sorts of floor surfaces, including floor stickers and floor graphics. It is important that you choose the correct anti-slip grading for your floor stickers and floor graphics.
The 'R' in the name stands for ramp test, the lower the number (so R9) the lower the slip resistance of the floor graphic. So any printed product you see with an R9 rating has the smallest amount of slip resistance. These go up to R13 which is the resistance that would be required in public areas such as swimming pool showers where the floor will be wet, or domestic areas such as wetrooms.
The ratings of R9 and R10 are more commonly used domestically in areas with a very low chance the floor graphics will be subjected to damp or wet conditions.
For commercial applications where there may be a chance that the floor sticker or graphic may get wet, a higher slip rating is required. For this, we would recommend the R12 Slip rating that we supply. This is why our in-house floor graphics use a material that is rated at R12, we recommend that you assess which slip rating you feel your anti-slip floor sticker will require before purchasing. Anti-Slip Resistance Table and Suitable Applications
This way of rating slip resistance, across Europe rating anti-slip properties of floor tiles, and all the below is based on this. It is based on a German National Standard test method DIN51130.
This is the most commonly used method to grade the slip-resistance of a product, usually floor tiles but in our case it can be use for measuring the anti-slip properties of printed floor stickers and vinyls. The table denotes the 'R' rating method and the varying degrees of slope and applications where the floor graphics can be used.

The above table provides the basic anti slip ramp test ratings.The parameters of the anti-slip test are based on the following parameters
- Shod foot, with cleated safety boots
- The surface is wet.
- The individual completing the test is attached with a harness for safety
- The angle of the ramp is adjusted whilst carrying out the test
- The degree ° at which the participant slips creates the above 'R' value ant-slip rating

FOR FLOORS / WALLS / CARPETS
This is our most cost effective Wall and Floor Vinyl. A 150 micron textured white PVC laminated with a removable clear acrylic adhesive. The product is for short to medium term indoor, dry area, application and s ideal for cost-effective, short-term, internal display on both floors and walls.
Coala Floor and Wall is for internal use, in dry situations floor sticker vinyl does not need lamination. The product is designed to be used for short to term applications in dry areas dependent on where the product is applied. It can can be applied on carpeting, walls and most smooth surfaces indoors.

This is our Mid-Range Wall and Floor Vinyl. SpotOn® Floor 200 is an 8 mil (200) embossed printable white matte monomeric PVC film, coated on one side with a dot-patterned, removable pressure sensitive polyacrylate adhesive. This high quality ink receptive embossed white vinyl was specifically developed for easy application. SpotOn® Floor 200 has a post-printed anti-slip rating of R10, according to DIN 51130:2010, which allows for vibrant, slip resistant floor graphics without the need for lamination.

Drytac SpotOn Floor and Wall is an internal use, in mainly dry, but can cope with some wetness, but not regularly situation floor sticker vinyl that does not need lamination.
