COVID 19 Printed Floor Stickers for Somerset NHS Trust
THE CLIENT
The first of its kind in the UK, the Somerset NHS Foundation Trust provides community, mental health and acute hospital services throughout the county.
To make certain they are offering the very best in care to their community, the Trust works with a number of different health and social care professionals across Somerset.
The trust was established in April 2020, when Somerset Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and Taunton and Somerset NHS Foundation Trust were merged.
Since the unification, the Trust has continued to provide care across the whole of Somerset—with acute hospital services being delivered in the north, west and central regions of the county.
THE BRIEF
If there’s but one good thing to emerge from the COVID 19 pandemic, it’s that the remarkable work carried out by the NHS, in uniquely challenging times, has been brought into sharp focus. It’s an institution we should all appreciate and be proud of.
We were delighted, then, to be contacted by the Somerset NHS Foundation Trust to design and create a range of anti-slip floor stickers that would be positioned throughout various areas of the radiology department at Musgrove Hospital, Taunton. These stickers would encourage social distancing and regulate the flow of foot traffic within the building. Creative Solutions were only too happy to help.
From our COVID 19 Range, Creative Solutions have been supplying printed anti-slip floor stickers throughout the pandemic. Since March, we have been supplying and installing them in hospitals across the whole of Somerset.
These high-quality printed stickers are perfect for use in both indoor or outdoor environments, and their durable, non-slip texture makes them suitable for most types of hard floor.
To ensure our clients are choosing the right product, we have split the floor stickers into different anti-slip ratings. This lets our customers know exactly what conditions they should be used for.
For Musgrove Hospital, with a high volume of foot traffic and public safety a chief concern, an R12-rated anti-slip sticker was a logical choice.
THE SOLUTION
Having installed stickers in various departments across the hospital in the last 6 months, from a design perspective, we knew exactly the direction the client was looking to take.
Following Somerset NHS Trust’s brief, we designed the artwork for the stickers. We replicated the same visually-striking yellow and black colour scheme from previous jobs, to ensure the stickers were easily-discernible for those travelling around the department.
We provided the client with full-colour printed anti-slip floor vinyls—with an R12 slip rating—and installed them in the MRI waiting area, the CT waiting area, and Ultrasound waiting area of the Radiology department.
We hope to continue our working relationship with the NHS Trust during these troubling times; if our products can help keep staff, patients and hospital visitors safe, we will be only too happy to supply them.
