THE BRIEF
Campbell Watson were on the hunt for some new signage for their Birmingham store. So they tracked us down online with an enquiry.
We deal with plenty of shop signage requests here at Creative Solutions. The main options we provide are either a full service; where we print AND install the sign. Or we simply send the finished product for the client to install themselves. We discussed these different options with Campbell Watson, in line with their budget.
In general, the desire was to have some sharp, modern-looking signs which reflected the furniture company’s contemporary brand. And something that would be durable enough to be displayed outside of a store.
THE SOLUTION
We recommended a long horizontal fascia board type, the kind of which you’d see above your typical high street store. As with many similar projects, we used Aluminium Composite Material (ACM) for this shop sign, as it’s the perfect rigid substrate for unpredictable outdoor conditions. It was also advised that matte lamination was used instead of gloss, to counteract light reflection.
The product was supplied in two individual pieces, totalling 4500 x 870 mm in dimension, which joined together seamlessly to create the complete sign.
The overall effect was a clear and stylish matte-finish sign, which was both rigid and aesthetically aligned with the furniture company’s modern brand.
