Lyme Regis Printed Building Site Hoardings
The Sign Job
Creative Solutions were tasked to install building site signage for local building contractor RG Spillers from Chard, Somerset.
The job involved cladding existing hoardings on the Marine Parade, Lyme Regis, Dorset with full-colour printed hoarding signage to improve the look for the summer tourist season in Lyme Regis.
The job was designed by our in-house designer Leigh who liaised with both architects and RG Spiller to make the hoarding look less ominous.
Bright, attractive colours with directions to local shops on sign posts made for fun, eye-catching signage.
The Print
The hoarding panels we constructed from Aluminum Composite Material with a .2mm aluminium skin. Applied to this were full colour 2880dpi prints with 5 -7 year Matt Laminate. View the ACM product here
These printed hoardings will last for 5 years and the prints are guarded against fade for this time both by UV stable inks and the UV filters in the laminate. The resolution of the printer allows high resolution prints to keep the vivid colours that were chosen for the signage work.
The Hoarding Installation
The whole building site signage was installed in one day, and a very wet and windy special Lyme Regis one at that!
All sign panels were adapted on site to suit features in the hoarding such as lights and uneven floor surfaces. Hinges on doors had to be custom cut for the hoarding panels to allow for a perfect seamless finish to the signage.
We would like to thank Dave from RG Spillers for his warm Porta-cabin at about 3.30pm, allowing us to have a much required Tea Break when one of the deluges decided to impart itself upon us!
All in all the signage installation job went really well and the result was commented upon by many passing visitors.
