Transforming Church Signage: A New Look for St Michael’s Chapel of Ease, Colyford

We recently had the pleasure of working with St Michael’s Chapel of Ease in Colyford to design, manufacture, and install a brand-new post-mounted signboard, enhancing the welcoming presence of this historic church. Located in the scenic grounds of Axminster, Devon, the new sign blends modern functionality with classic style, reflecting the warmth and vibrancy of the local community.

The church committee approached us seeking a refreshed look for their outdoor signage. Using the dimensions of their previous sign panel as a guide, we developed a completely new design that incorporated essential details about the church’s services and history. Our team worked closely with the committee throughout the process, providing multiple digital design proofs to ensure every detail was just right. This collaborative approach made it easy for the committee to refine their vision and achieve a final design they were 100% happy with.

A Sign That Combines Style and Durability

The new signboard features a stunning raspberry red powder-coated aluminium panel, carefully selected to complement the church’s character. To add functionality, we included a powder-coated external poster case, colour-matched to the panel, allowing the church to easily update notices and events. Designed to withstand the elements, the sign not only enhances the church grounds visually but also ensures long-term durability.

As part of our comprehensive service, we conducted a local site visit to assess the existing posts and installation requirements. By utilising the pre-existing posts on the church lawn, we seamlessly mounted the new signboard, ensuring a secure and professional finish.
