Van Signwriting Design and Installation for Scott Clarke Carpentry

Scott Clarke is a master carpenter. He delivers his services through his business - Scott Clarke Carpentry. He takes on custom carpentry projects for residential and commercial customers, property developers and landlords. Most projects involve building services, kitchen installation, loft conversions and general maintenance. Scott recently purchased a new van to add to this fleet.

THE BRIEF

Design, print and install van graphics

We were approached by Scott to design, print and install graphics for his new van, a Peugeot Boxer in L3H2 specification. Scott already have a nice logo and wanted the graphics to highlight this, as well as compliment it. We met up with Scott to discuss his ideas. We created a rough brief from this to work from. It was established during the design stage that a mix of gloss and matte vinyl would be best.

THE SOLUTION

Design print and installation by our experts

After our meeting we got to work on the vinyl design right away. Our graphic designers produced a few mock-ups for Scott to approve. Scott wanted something that was similar to the graphics on his old van. After playing around with designs, we recommended a mixture of gloss and matte vinyl. This allowed for a contrast. Scott agreed, and the design was signed off. We got to work printing the next day.

For this project, several types of media were used. We used White M7-100 media, ISEE Wrap Film in two different colours and 3M1080 M261 Matte Dark Grey. Printing was carried out on our digital printer and plotter. A variety of wrap films were required to create the desired effect - a contrast between design elements.

Once everything was printed, be booked the van in for installation. The van was delivered to us clean. We gave it a final prep before installing the vinyl.

Installation took two days due to the intricacy of the design. The results are spectacular, and Scott is thrilled with how his van looks.
