Where: Beaminster, Dorset
Why: The company needed us to design a new logo. The aim of which was to increase visibility to passing traffic on a busy main road.
When: 16th October 2014
Logo Design: Our designer, Leigh Jackson, created a logo that was easily recognizable. We also designed all the layouts for the signs and window graphics. This process involved meetings and conversations with the client. Initial designs drawn up, proofing, amendments, final proof and sign off from customer before production.
Site Survey: Ben carried out an initial site survey to understand the customers’ signage needs, and to check the areas that were best to advertise the business. He then detailed the signage that would be required to fulfill demand and sign budget.
Sign Manufacture: Main Shop Sign made from aluminium composite material (ACM) with laminated full colour print applied.
Directional Sign: Small ACM sign with laminated full colour print applied.
Fence Mounted Directional Sign: 3mm Aluminium sign, with horizontal rails blind riveted to the back for fence fixing. Sign had rounded corners for safety. Laminated Full colour print applied to sign face.
Window Graphics: Plotted, weeded Etch / frosted glass effect vinyl for windows, mirror logo cut to shape in vinyl for application to inside of window.
Sign Installation: Installation was carried out in Beaminster by a two-man installation team, Matt and Jedd. Operating from instructions given from the survey, Main shop sign was fitted using screws, rawl plugs and black screw caps, the directional sign was installed in the same fashion.
One sign to catch passer by attention was fixed to railings facing the main road. This sign was fixed using aluminium brackets to clamp to the railings.
The etch glass window graphics were applied to the inside of the windows. The windows needed to be cleaned thoroughly to ensure grime is removed to allow the graphics to adhere properly and look their best. Etch glass vinyl is an excellent product that is a fraction of the cost of frosted glass. A great alternative to frosted glass.
