As large format printers we know the importance of having a top quality logo that can be pulled, squeezed and stretched to fit any demands your require from the smallest product labels to the largest signage displays. Here we discuss the importance of having a vector logo with our wonderful client, Bonbon!
BONBON
In the picturesque coastal town of West Bay, Dorset, Bonbon has just unveiled its new shop. Here, they're redefining the classic sweet shop experience with a contemporary flair. Step inside to discover a tantalising array of treats, from gourmet flavoured popcorn's to artisanal rock sticks, mouthwatering sweets, creamy fudge, and fluffy cotton candy!
Why your logo needs to be a vector
In today's digital age, it's essential to ensure your branding is not only visually striking online but also maintains high quality across various mediums like your external business signage, promotional prints and vehicle graphics.
When Bonbon got in touch to kit-out their new business premises in West Bay, we recognised that their current logo didn't meet the standards required for crisp print reproduction. Our team proposed to rejuvenate their logo before embarking on larger print projects.
The logo did not need to be changed at all for this to happen! We took all elements of the logo including size, spacing, font and colours to simply recreate the logo in a new format for infinite future possibilities in print and signage.
What is a vector logo & why do I need one?
- A vector logo is scalable
- A vector logo is easily editable
- A vector logo has many export options
As a simple explanation - your brand's image depends on it.
A vector file is often the best format for a logo. Many production companies require high resolution files and will request your logo as a vector.
VECTOR LOGOS ARE SCALABLE
Vector format logos are infinitely scalable. Vector logos can be scaled infinitely to fit large print design needs or conversely scaled down to fit smaller requirements. This means you can easily use the same file for both a small business cards and posters, all the way to large format signage and vehicle graphics.
Vector files are images that are built by mathematical formulas that establish points on a grid. Raster files are composed of the coloured blocks commonly referred to as pixels. Because of this, vector files can be infinitely scaled to even the most outrageous of dimensions without losing resolution, blurring or losing any quality.
VECTOR LOGOS ARE EDITABLE
When thinking about your logo, you may want it to be adaptable to different print types, locations, and even time of the year with campaigns and seasonal advertisements. This can produce multiple ideas and iterations of your logo, but if the process isn't easy, you may find many of those ideas getting shot down or implemented.
Say you need your logo printed onto white paper - you will need a bold text colour to be easily legible. Your business vehicle fleet however is all black! You can simply invert the colours, altering your logo to suit any environment it is needed in.
VECTOR LOGOS HAVE MULTIPLE EXPORT OPTIONS
When we work with you to create a vector logo, we have all the tools and equipment at our disposal to supply you with your new vectorised logos in any file format you need, these being: .ai (Adobe Illustrator), .eps (Encapsulated PostScript), .pdf (Portable Document Format) or .svg (Scalable Vector Graphics).
