Indoor Signs & Display for Taj Mahal, Bridport

THE CLIENT

Taj Mahal is an Indian restaurant situated in the vibrant market town of Bridport, Dorset. A family-run business at heart, Taj Mahal has been providing authentic Indian cuisine in the region for nearly four decades—either in the restaurant or for takeaway. They have amassed a loyal following of customers over the years, thanks to their wide range of freshly-prepared, traditional dishes.

THE BRIEF

The owners of Taj Mahal made contact with the team here at Creative Solutions looking for a range of indoor displays which could be installed inside the restaurant. The selection of Indian-themed high-quality prints—eleven in total—would be mounted in the seating areas of the restaurant, with one larger print to be installed in the reception area. 

For this kind of indoor display project, it was decided that the best solution would be to print the selection of images onto 3mm aluminium composite material board. This is a superb, contemporary graphic design choice for a restaurant such as Taj Mahal. We can take any image the client requests and print directly onto an ACM board in stunning high-definition. The beautifully clean matte finish makes for razor-sharp quality reproduction and the board’s aluminium and plastic core composition creates a lightweight, durable product.

THE SOLUTION

For the main Taj Mahal restaurant, we provided the client with ten wall images. The range of self-adhesive graphics—depicting traditional Indian spices, landscapes and landmarks—were full-colour printed onto 3mm ACM 0.3mm skin board and finished with a stunning matte laminate. 

The overall size of each display measured 940 by 690mm—while each print was wrapped along the edges for a neat, contemporary finish.

Likewise, the large entrance image, measuring 810 by 1402mm, was also full-colour printed onto 3mm ACM 0.3mm skin board, finished with a beautiful matte laminate and wrapped along the edges.

As each image was bursting with vibrant colours, it was vital the print quality was of a high enough standard to replicate these vivid aesthetics. As you can see from the images, we more than met these objectives. 

We were also able to supply the client with the keyhole fixings which would be bonded to the rear of the images for wall fixing. The team were able to install each and every display at the Taj Mahal restaurant in Bridport. Job done!
