Lyme Bay Holidays Van Graphics
THE CLIENT
Lyme Bay Holidays is a family-run holiday letting agency, specialising in the areas around Lyme Regis and Charmouth on the West Dorset/East Devon border. As a trusted name in the leisure industry for over 30 years, Lyme Bay Holidays cover the majority of the World Heritage Coast, as well as some breathtaking countryside and attractive market towns and villages.
Whether it’s a cottage, house or modern apartment you’re looking for, Lyme Bay pride themselves on providing first-rate properties; all of which are independently inspected for quality assurance.
Much of their business comes from word-of-mouth and the recommendations of holidaymakers who return year upon year to their numerous locations. Because of these long-standing relationships with customers, Lyme Bay can offer a much more personal touch than you might expect from a larger national corporation.
THE BRIEF
Lyme Bay Holidays approached us with a request to create some new signage for one of their company vehicles; a white Peugeot Partner van. The client was able to provide us with the design they had in mind, which we would then have to lay out on the specific template of the vehicle.
The graphics needed to be printed to tie in with their particular brand guidelines. This included the minimalist, all-lower case font for the company name, and the iconic kite which makes up their logo and is synonymous with Lyme Bay Holidays. The brief was to create a refined, understated aesthetic that would reflect the company’s ethos of providing quality for their customers.
THE SOLUTION
We provided the client with full colour printed and cut graphics for the Peugeot Partner van, which were laminated with a gloss finish. The graphics were cut specifically for the dimensions of the company vehicle, and all the fonts and colour schemes were in keeping with Lyme Bay’s brand. The kite logo is a dominant feature on the side panels of the van, but in a subtle grey tone as to not overwhelm the overall design.
The final price for the project included set-up, printing, laminating, plotting, weeding, and the actual application of graphics.
