Baboo Gelato

Viennese gelatiere, Annie Hanbury, founded her Baboo Gelato company in 2015.  Inspired by her love for concocting tasty and unforgettable ice cream flavours, using the abundance of ripe fruit growing near her Dorset home, Annie has established herself as a master frozen dessert creator in the South West. 

Each individual batch of Baboo’s artisanal ice cream is carefully prepared from scratch at their Bridport, Devon premises. The much-loved product is made using fresh, perfectly ripened fruit and local organic milk. Customers come from all over the land to enjoy Baboo’s deep, natural-flavoured ice creams which are available in scoops, tubs, or the popular chocolate-coated ice cream bites known as ‘Baboos’.

THE BRIEF

Dry-Wipe Reusable Flavour Boards

Creative Solutions have been working with Baboo Gelato since they started trading, and in that time we have provided all number of different graphics, signage and advertising products: from pavement and kiosk signs to van graphics and vinyl wraps for in-store freezers.  

Long-standing working relationships like this are the lifeblood of our business and we’re very pleased to be able to continually provide a range of products that Baboo Gelato are satisfied with. 

For this design brief, the client wanted us to create ‘flavour boards’ for Baboo Gelato ice cream kiosks and outlets located in the South West. The most essential characteristic for these boards was that they needed to have a dry-wipe finish, in order for the menus to change in accordance with the flavours available. 

 The client was able to provide us with the artwork for the boards; which included the Baboo Gelato company logo and the on-brand decorative border.

THE SOLUTION

Custom High-Quality Prints

We supplied the client with non-magnetic flavour boards. The artwork was printed in full-colour self-adhesive print and applied to 3mm aluminium composite material (ACM) 0.3mm skin board. Importantly, the product came with a premium dry-wipe, anti-vandal finish and a 5-year guarantee. 

The combination of the high-definition print quality, Baboo Gelato’s signature branding, and the dry-wipe finish make for a superb, functional final product. Once again, the client was very happy with the end result.
