Printed Wallpaper for Bridport Museum Trust - The Right Stuff Exhibition

THE CLIENT

The Bridport Museum can be found in the heart of the historic market town of Bridport in Devon. Visitors are invited to come and explore the wide range of interactive displays and exhibitions in one of Bridport’s oldest buildings.

The Right Stuff exhibition is part of an exciting three-and-a-half year collections review project. The exhibition aims to discover what is important to the local community; to find out what visitors want to see displayed in the museum, both now and in the future!

THE BRIEF

The client was looking for the Creative team to design and install digitally-printed wallpaper at the museum— as part of The Right Stuff exhibition which would be taking place in May and running through until December. The wallpaper would depict the process and details involved in the grand community outreach project, using a range of visually-dynamic, contemporary infographics, images and diagrams. 

Printed wallpaper is a superb graphic design choice for a brief of this kind and a hugely popular product in our range. Creative have the ability to transform both commercial and public spaces with any high-definition artwork or graphic the client might need—all printed directly onto premium-quality wallpaper. 

As the displays would be viewed by museum guests, it was imperative that the graphics were clear, easily-readable, and visually engaging for the visiting public. Thanks to the quality of the print, Creative can always guarantee a pin-sharp reproduction when it comes to manufacturing and installing our digitally-printed wallpaper.

THE SOLUTION

Once the museum had sent us the selection of graphics they required, we were able to supply the client with MD5 Hi-Tac full-colour digitally-printed wallpaper. The product was then cut to shape—to ensure a perfect fit for the intended room—and finished with a high-quality matte laminate.

The overall size of the wallpaper measured 15000 by 1340mm. Even on that large scale, the print quality isn’t jeopardized and the client is left with a stunning, high-definition display. The wallpaper was then plotted, weeded, and masked ready for installation at the Bridport Museum.

As you can see from the images, every aspect of the print job is done to the highest standard; every last letter and graphic is immaculate...down to the last pixel. What sounds like an excellent, worthwhile exhibition, now as the printed graphics to match!
