Van Graphics for Spice and Rice
THE CLIENT
Spice and Rice are a much-loved catering company that provides fresh, home-cooked Indian cuisine, for a variety of occasions and events, in the East Devon, Somerset and Dorset area.
They are well known for serving curries, packed with authentic South Asian flavour, at their regular street market pitches in Axminster and Bridport. They also host Thali at a number of pubs in Charmouth and Beaminster.
During the lockdown of 2020, Spice and Rice transformed their business model into a hugely popular curry delivery service across the South West.
THE BRIEF
Spice and Rice got in touch with the team here at Creative Solutions looking for some sleek, modern, eye-catching vehicle graphics for their hard-working Volkswagen Crafter delivery van.
Creative Solutions have a wealth of experience when it comes to providing vehicle graphics for businesses in the Bridport, Chard and Axminster area. We understand that for any company relying on a van for their day-to-day operations, high-quality graphics are an irrefutably effective method of spreading brand awareness and projecting a sense of professionalism.
For Spice and Rice, however, as their van is used predominantly at night, making deliveries across the region, it was decided a worthwhile design choice might be to take advantage of our reflective vinyl range.
As the van heads off into the darkness, the company name would remain highly-visible for potential customers.
While reflective graphics are mainly used for HGVs and in the large transport sector, who may require them as safety features, utilising bright colours and reflective vinyl is a great way for businesses to increase their visibility and promote their brand.
THE SOLUTION
This wasn’t our first job with Spice and Rice—in fact, we’ve helped them on a number of different vehicle graphic projects over the years.
For this particular brief, we were able to supply a full vehicle wrap, complete with reflective vinyl graphics for their Volkswagen Crafter, based on the artwork supplied by the client.
For the sides and front of the van, the white vinyl wrap is offset by the vibrant hotrod red gloss graphics, which creates the stunning flame effect seen in the images. The reflective red vinyl is used on all the icons and logos, which look spectacular when the light touches them. A really eye-catching aesthetic.
On the back doors, printed onto the black gloss wrap, we used reflective white vinyl for the company logo, website, telephone number and accompanying text. Any car following the van would see an impressively lit branded display.
The client couldn’t have been more pleased with the finished product. Using reflective graphics is a smart design choice for Spice and Rice and highlights their forward thinking mindset as a company. We were just delighted to be able to help another local business during difficult times.
