Vehicle Graphics for Little Groves
THE CLIENT
Back in 1866, Charles William Groves founded a small garden nursery in the charming Dorset village of Piddletrenthide.
Fast forward some 150 years later, Little Grove Nurseries is one of the largest garden centres in the region and a vital pillar in the Bridport community. All throughout the year, their nurseries are home to 32,000 bedding plants, 12,000 trees, 8,000 roses and 6,000 perennials.
The nurseries are now run by the SIXTH generation of the Groves family, Becky and Charlie.
THE BRIEF
We’ve worked on a number of graphic design projects with Little Groves Nursery over the years. From high-quality vehicle signage to outdoor retail displays. One Christmas, we were even involved in creating a Penguin-themed children’s game for their Santa’s Grotto. Which proved a real hit!
In comparison, the job on this occasion was fairly straightforward. No penguins in sight. Just the design, creation and installation of some high-quality vehicle graphics for their company Ford Transit. The artwork would be based on the nursery’s familiar logo and the guidelines provided by the client.
For any well-known local business in the West Dorset area, it’s important to keep company vehicles looking in premium condition. For Little Groves Nursery, while the Transit is visible to the public, they will want to project a sense of familiarity and professionalism to their customer base. Vehicle graphics that look like they’ve seen better days will give off the wrong message.
That’s where we step in...
THE SOLUTION
Using the logos, brand guidelines and brief provided by the client, we provided Little Grove with printed and cut vinyl graphics for their Ford Transit.
The full-colour wide-format print was applied to premium self-adhesive gloss white vinyl and finished with a protective laminate, providing a fully waterproof and UV-resistant veneer.
To achieve the best possible aesthetic for the van, it was decided that the print quality we’d use for the graphics would be the full 8-10 colour at 2880dpi which is the highest photographic quality we offer. The results really speak for themselves, the artwork looks flawless.
