THE BRIEF

Creative Solutions have established a healthy, long-term working relationship with Axminster Tools & Machinery over the years and we’re very proud to have been involved in a number of different design projects with the Devon-based firm. Most notably, we’ve overseen a recent major rebranding initiative, which has included the design and installation of new signage across their numerous stores, and the upgrading of graphics for their fleet of company vehicles.

This brief, however, was something quite different. Using the artistic vision of a competition winner, Axminster Tools wanted us to provide a high-quality printed vinyl wrap for one of their hard-working bandsaws. A custom makeover that would really make an impact!

Vinyl wraps are an economical method of breathing new life into an otherwise unremarkable product. Our design team can print literally any image, graphic, or logo onto a wrap—in stunning high-definition. Indeed, the fabulous octopus design, the brainchild of Axminster Tools’ competition winner, was no exception. We got straight to work!

THE SOLUTION

Using the stunning octopus-themed artwork provided, Creative Solutions supplied a total of four full-colour prints, each measuring 410 x 420mm, and each finished with a high-quality matte laminate. 

The image was designed so that it would be divided between the bottom and top door, on both the rear and front panel of the bandsaw. This gives the effect of the octopus’ tentacles sprawling from the depths of the ocean to the surface. The finished look is both unique and visually striking.

The bespoke artwork is captured superbly by the print quality; the lines are sharp and the colour palette is vibrant and bold. An excellent example of custom-made graphics translating perfectly to a vinyl wrap. The bandsaw has never looked better!
