Within the Space complex, the firm FDB have set up their offices. As one of the leading providers of clinical and descriptive drug knowledge in the industry—that’s merged into healthcare information systems across the globe— FDB have found a secure and functional working headquarters at Space. All they needed now was some high-quality outdoor signage!

THE BRIEF

FDB contacted the team here at Creative Solutions looking to upgrade their existing outdoor business signage. They specified that they were searching towards the higher end of our visual display range. They required something both visually striking and impactful, yet simple and refined—incorporating the company’s strong brand identity and colour scheme. This sign would need to reflect their status as a medical consultant.

After some discussion with our design team, it was decided that the best outdoor signage option for FDB would be aluminium tray signs. This high-quality, dynamic product offers a much more distinctive aesthetic than the regular panel sign. With a prominent 3D effect, no visible fixings, and the graphic print of your choice, the tray sign is the perfect option for a modern business. We can also offer our clients the addition of raised lettering to further enhance the visual impact of the display—an option that FDB were only too happy to go with.

In addition to the positive aesthetic features of the product, the tray sign also has physical properties that make it perfectly suited for outdoor use. Aluminium tray signs do not corrode, fade or rust. They can be powder coated in any colour, and, thanks to their inherent rigidity, tray signs do not require a frame. 

THE SOLUTION

After our design team had created the production-ready artwork for the display, we supplied FDB with a 2950mm x 1220mm tray sign which would be installed on the outside of their Exeter offices at Inspiring Workspaces. The aluminium sign was powder coated in white and features 5mm raised acrylic lettering, dressed in FDB’s corporate colours.

The production and installation phases of the project were completed by the Creative Solutions team in Exeter, with the help of our hard-working cherry picker! The process also included the removal of FDB’s existing signage.

The client was thrilled with the product and the service we provided. The sign looks sharp, professional and fits in seamlessly as a contemporary visual display at Space.
