Magnetic Wall Print Map for Cavanna Homes

With a long history of taking on high-quality building and development projects, Cavanna is widely regarded as one of the largest, most-trusted independent businesses of its type in the area.

While the company has grown significantly over the last hundred years, their objectives are still the same: to construct desirable, first-rate properties that will stand the test of time.

THE BRIEF

It’s been a great pleasure to have formed a healthy working relationship with Cavanna Homes in recent years. We’ve been at the forefront of a number of different graphic design projects for the company—from branded hoardings for construction sites, to track and trace QR code displays for property viewings.

There’s a great mutually beneficial advantage in creating lasting connections with large construction firms like Cavanna Homes. For this particular project, the client wanted us to design and create a magnetic wall print map of the South West. The display would serve as a quick visual reference for the location and status of their numerous building developments across the region. The map would be installed in their head office in Torquay. 

It was important that the display was large enough to fill the entire wall space and be visible from anywhere in the room—while having the capacity to be updated easily to give a real-time reflection of their construction sites and building developments in the South West.

Specifically, the map needed to display the following features: existing sites, land acquired, future sites, and planning information.

A super brief and one we were keen to get working on right away!

THE SOLUTION

We provided the client with a full-colour digitally printed map of the South West onto high-grade wallpaper—finished with a premium dry-wipe laminate. 

Each individual icon, which highlighted the key markers to be placed on the map, were cut from a printed magnetic sheet and applied to the magnetic background. 

For added versatility, the map can also be written on with dry-wipe markers if required, thanks to the dry-wipe finish. 

The entire display was printed and cut by the Creative Solutions production team and the map was installed at the Cavanna head office in Torquay. The display was designed to fit exactly on to the appropriate wall, with holes cut accurately for the plug sockets and light switches, leaving an immaculate and precise finish.

Cavanna Homes were extremely pleased with the product we supplied. The magnetic map and its icons are perfectly fit for purpose and the print quality cannot be beaten! Another job well done for a long-term customer.
