Platform

Platform, formerly known as The Station Kitchen, is a unique restaurant and event venue located in West Bay, Dorset. Originally a train station, this venue has been transformed into an atmospheric dining experience that incorporates beautifully restored train carriages into its design. Since 2015, we have partnered with the Platform team to supply and maintain their bespoke signage needs, helping them to establish their brand identity and keep it fresh over the years.

The rebranding from The Station Kitchen to Platform presented an exciting opportunity for us to showcase our full range of services, ensuring their updated branding was reflected across all signage and display elements.

Site Visits & Initial Planning

Our work began with a site visit to Platform to assess the existing signage and understand the client’s new vision for their rebrand. During this visit, we collaborated with their team to plan the removal, refurbishment, and installation of signage and graphic displays, ensuring the new branding would be consistent and impactful.

Removal and Refurbishment

We carefully dismantled the existing signage, taking it back to our workshop for restoration. This process included:

• Removing all vinyl applications from the signage panels.
• Thoroughly cleaning each panel to prepare for the new designs.
• Ensuring the structural integrity of all signage to guarantee a flawless finish upon re-installation.

Once cleaned and prepared, we applied the new vinyl graphics featuring Platform’s updated branding. These included:

• Elegant signage for the main entrance and venue facades.
• Super-sized vinyl graphics applied to the sides of the iconic train carriages, creating striking visual statements that embody the restaurant’s blend of heritage and modernity.
• Smaller signage elements to enhance the customer journey, such as directional and informational signs.

Installation

Our team returned to the site to reinstall the refurbished signage. Every detail was checked to ensure the branding was consistent, vibrant, and aligned with the high standards expected by Platform’s clientele.
