THE BRIEF

While vehicle wraps are most popular among independent tradespeople—as an excellent, relatively low-cost method of breathing new life into tired looking work vans—it is also a favourite product choice for cars and smaller vehicles in the private sector, too. Vehicle wrapping is an effective, less permanent way of completely changing the aesthetic of your car. Not only is this option more forgiving on the wallet than a full respray, the customer has the choice to revert back to the original paintwork if necessary. Perhaps the vehicle is being sold or the client has had a major rethink—whatever the reason, the change doesn’t need to be forever

!The beauty of a wrap is the scope it offers. The aesthetic of your car can quite literally be transformed beyond recognition. We can perform a simple colour change—with a matte or gloss finish—or provide a completely custom design with a full-colour printed vehicle wrap. We also offer specialist wrapping of individual car parts. Bonnets, grills, bumpers, and wing mirrors can all be wrapped separately for a unique, tailored look.

Janet Evans, a private client, took advantage of our flexible service, when she approached us about creating a vehicle wrap for her Mini Cooper. Janet wanted a modern-looking Union Jack design, which would stretch across the rear-quarter of the car. We got straight to work!

THE SOLUTION

For the client, we manufactured a Union Jack-themed wrap for a Mini Cooper. The artwork was created by our in-house design team after liaising with Janet and agreeing on the final graphics.

The MDX wrap film was printed in full colour and finished with a gloss laminate, which gives the car that stunning, showroom-condition shine. The Union Jack vinyl print was applied to areas in the rear-quarter of the Mini, which includes both side panels, both doors, and the boot panel.

The client was delighted with the final look. Janet now has the appearance of a new car—complete with a unique custom design—but has spent a fraction of the cost.
