Meeting The New Safety Standards

Health and safety legislation continues to get ever tighter for public buildings. Public buildings fall under the requirements of the ‘Buildings and Fire Precautions Legislation’. They have to meet specific standards relating to the means of escape in the event of a fire. In order to meet the Corporate Manslaughter and Corporate Homicide Act 2007, exhibition organisers are now implementing effective fire prevention management strategies.

Many public buildings such as airport terminals and exhibition halls are starting to follow guidelines regarding exhibition stands and displays for health and safety reasons.

How can you offset the legal requirements with the need to display is a public area?

The solution to complying fully with fire regulations is simple. Printed panels for shell schemes can be upgraded to B1 fire rating. Please confirm the number of panels required to be upgraded - multiple order discounts are applicable and will be calculated automatically

This act places the burden of responsibility on employers (public and private sector) to ensure that all health and safety issues are managed and implemented.
