Vehicle Wrapping Darren Poole Building
THE CLIENT
Darren Poole Builders are a building company located in Bridport, Dorset. In operation for nearly a decade, they pride themselves on providing first-rate construction work to domestic properties in the local area.
THE BRIEF
Creative Solutions have undertaken numerous design projects with Darren Poole Builders over the years; in fact, we’ve supplied vehicle graphics for their entire fleet—including a crew cab Ford Transit in recent memory. We have a long-standing working relationship with Darren Poole and they can trust us to provide a quality service and end product.
The client informed us that they had recently purchased a reasonably-priced old Ford Ranger, which they were looking to add to their fleet. The one issue was that the van’s original colour was not consistent with the rest of the company vehicles. After a discussion with the client, the solution was reached to use a gloss white wrap film. This is a cost-effective option—much cheaper than spraying the entire truck—as we’re using vinyl in the lower price range. The product also has a 5-year guarantee and is perfect for a customer on a budget.
Wraps are a popular choice for traders such as Darren Poole; it’s an inexpensive and simple method of changing the colour of a work vehicle, while maintaining the original paintwork. So, if you’re looking to give your work van a new lease of life, this could be just the thing.
THE SOLUTION
As well as applying the gloss white wrap and the logo branding as normal, we also filled in a large number of the dents. It was important to get the surface as smooth as possible before the vinyl wrap was adhered.
We also sprayed some areas of the back bed, those that were not able to be wrapped, with gloss black. Conscious that Darren Poole Building were on a budget, the original grey graphics were left on to save printing costs and all of the grey panels were left as factory finish. Like previous vehicles, yellow vinyl was applied to the roof.
The result is another professionally branded company truck to add to the fleet and one happy client. For a relatively low price, this old vehicle has been given a new lease of life.
